TREEN COMPOTE

Circa 1830 - 1850

A well proportioned wooden compote that was turned in three sections (top-walnut, middle-maple, bottom-walnut).  It nature seems to have been mainly decorative in shape and probable use.  The attractive grained wood and the turned ornamental molding make this compote very eye appealing.
